Good Farming Areas in GW2 for Ingredients

I know it can be a bit rough finding good places to farm ingredients for cooking. I have been all over in search of good spots. Sadly I have only found a few so far and the majority of items are just found around. Though each is in the same spot and runs on a 23 hours timer, just for you! So here are a few places with good farming

This is what I have so far, I will add more as I find them!

Lettuce Farms-
  • Queensdale- South of Beetletun [8]

4 days to GW2

I am very excited about GW2! Even more excited because I pre-purchased the collectors edition and get a 3 day headstart! After much thought and the poll that I put up on my facebook page [ http://www.facebook.com/LoveBiscuit ], I have decided to roll a Sylvari Elementalist as Love Biscuit. She will be the character I play first and post on my YouTube channel [ http://www.youtube.com/xxxlovebiscuitxxx ].

I hope that many of you will embark with me on my adventure with Love Biscuit, the Sylvari Elementalist. :)

Couch Co-op

Recently I made a video on Couch Co-op, you can see that here:

I really find Couch Co-op to be a good way to brings friends together and families as well. Its a nice thing to feel like you played the game together and were actually in the same room. I was reading the most recent Game Informer and I was reading an article and it basically said that Couch Co-op is hardly being done because developers feel it is not used enough.

I would like to know how they know this... do they sit in my living room and watch what I play? Know how often I play it? Do they do that to everyone BUT me? That is doubtful. It does require different coding to make sure everything runs smooth on both split screens, but it is worth it.

Look at what the Kinect games are doing lately? It is all about spending time with your family and friends playing games together. Many of them are 2 player games and you do the objectives TOGETHER. I find that to be an amazing way to bring gaming into a family dynamic.

One game I really recommend checking out is Little Big Planet. I find that it really gets families connected. You can sign in on your own account and play your own sack person, instead of playing the generic one UNLESS it is YOUR account. This really makes people want to play. I can play on my own and then when I decide to play with friends or family I can get on their account or they can get on mine, but still play as their sack person with their account.

Bringing families and friends together without them having to network their computers and play in seperate rooms... OR in the same room but on a different system, on a different tv. I think it brings a different feeling being in the same room as someone and playing the same game. I do not see why it is shunned... granted Split-Screen can be kinda troublesome on a smaller tv.

There really are not a ton of games that allow 2 player co-op, and I would love to see more of it. One thing I want to see more then anything.... is being able to sign into my own account and play multi-player split screen in a CoD game. Why has that not been done? If I am at a friends house and want to play with them, I either have to sign into my own account and they have to split as my double... or the other way around. I dislike that, and really wish they would change it. Think of the amount of people that would love that! Siblings can play together, spouses, and friends... WITHOUT being forced to be a (2).

I think we need more Couch Co-op in our lives!

Talks YouTube Channel

When I started my YouTube Channel- http://www.youtube.com/XxXLoveBiscuitXxX I had intentions on doing commentary while playing CoD. I soon realized how AWFUL I was at MW3 so quickly started to branch out. I enjoy yammering on while I play video games, that was until I started playing Diablo 3.

The dungeons were long and took me forever to get through and I would run out of things to talk about. So I started cutting them up for just the good bits. I hate doing that, but for now... it is what it is. I am looking for other ideas on what to do with videos and am hoping to grow in what I do with my channel.

I hope in time I can grow my channel and get more confident with what I do. I love doing this, and for now it is a fun hobby I want to enjoy for a long time. :)

Please feel free to leave me ideas or thoughts on changes on my channel. I would love to hear from you.

Guild Wars 2 is COMING!

It has been a while since my last Blog entry. I have just been busy catching up on my videos for the second Beta weekend that I completely slacked on and life in general that I have not kept up to date on my blog.

So August 28th we will be getting Guild Wars 2! Those of you who pre-purchased will get a 3 day headstarts! [Meaning me too! ;)] I am so very excited about it. I will be picking one class and race and making a character for my YT channel. I was debating giving my subs the chance to help me decide which race and which class. Thought it might be fun, since it is likely I will only have time for one character for my channel for a while. What do y'all think? Might put a poll up on my facebook page.

I find out new things all the time about the classes and just the way GW2 is set up. There is one final Beta weekend on July 20-22 which I plan to take full advantage of! They are also giving us the chance to try out Sylvari and Asura! Who could ask for anything better?

I will be doing 2 short playthroughs for the Beta event similar to what I did on the second beta weekend. I will be doing it differently so I can voice it while playing, and that means you guys will get the vids THE day I play it. Instead of when I have time to voice and edit. :)

I would share if I was not so embarassed... the fact I have been jumping up and down since they announced the release date! I already have my bells on and I am ready to play! ;) Thankfully the last beta weekend will tide me over.

I am ready to learn!

ME3 Extended Cut- My Thoughts

Some of you who follow me, know I have been very vocal about the ending of ME3. I thought that the story as a whole was amazing and loved every minute... until the credits rolled, for what I thought was to soon. Perhaps because I did not want Shepard's story to ever end, but honestly there were many things lacking for me. So many questions that should have been answered and no closure to the story that BioWare had promised us.

The main questions I wanted answered were-

Why was Joker and the Normandy off in BFE?- ANSWERED
Why were the squadmates who were with me on the final push, on the Normandy? ANSWERED
Where is my closure? -ANSWERED... good enough lol

The closure bit was good enough for me, I got to see who actually lived and died and some of the things that happened due to my decisions.

I thought that the added dialog from the AI at the end was weird and I did not really need it, but I suppose some people did and that is why it was there.

The prologue I got was by Anderson, but I hear it all depends on your ending. I look forward to finding them all out in due time... the Extended Cut makes me WANT to play ME3 again so I mist say:

THANK YOU BIOWARE, for listening to the fans and fixing what was obviously flawed! :)

DLC and WTH Walking Dead!

Today is jammed pack of things to do! DLC for ME3 hit... the one I have been waiting for! Though the only thing I wanted answered, I can not find. *sigh* Anyone know if you have to build your EMS rating up again or if the save is with your previous EMS? I guess I will play some Multi-Player just incase.

Though not just the ME3 Extended Cut DLC... but we are getting Dawnguard for Skyrim! Many more hours of entertainment to be had there! Not sure if I will get it tonight, but I will get it soon! :)

Now add the excitement of ME3 & Skyrim DLC and add in that SWTOR dropped their Allies patch today! YAY! I am not looking forward to the level cap being higher, because I have 3 characters around 20-30 range. I should just pick one and go. lol

So I thought all of that dropped today, wouldn't it be cool if The Walking Dead game finally decided to come out? I mean... it is the end of June and it was supposed to be here last month! lol Though I still see no Release date in sight... they have less then a week till the "End of June" is gone. At this rate I may lose all my want to play it if I have to wait 3 months in between episodes. Wasn't it supposed to be on a monthly basis? I get that it takes time for programing, design, and writing... so please do not think me an "Entitled Gamer" I just think they say they are going to do something, and they should do it!

So I hope you all are having fun with the day full of DLC and patches! :)

GW2 Beta Weekend 2 Thoughts

For those of you who know me, you know I am very PATIENTLY waiting for GW2. I also have pre-purchased the collectors edition so I can be part of all the Beta weekends. I missed out on the first one, but got to take part in a stress test and the second beta weekend that was about a week ago. I thought I would give you guys my thoughts on this last beta weekend.

I found that it was very well done. I found very few bugs, and each I found I made sure to report... as this was a Beta. The sole purpose is for us to report those things so they can fix it. If it was a live game, these small bugs would not have even bothered me to much at all. It would not have taken away from my enjoyment of the game.

I feel that it is very polished and has to be nearly finished. The Dynamic events were fun and I also found that the quests around the world in making friends were different, like the time I had to throw snowballs at little kids... or perhaps when I had to keep feed away from some crazy rabbits. I had so much fun I hated to see it end, and it makes me want the game even more then I wanted it before.

I had high expectations for GW2, as I have been waiting for it for about 4 years. The expectations I had were passed by a ton. The game has truly come far and I had so much fun playing it, and for me that is what it is about. I hate those pay to play games where you get almost NOTHING with huge amounts of 'WORK'... if more games were FUN over all instead, I may pay for more games. As they do not, I rather not pay anymore.

So for me I recommend GW2 to those who are not even into MMOs and perhaps just like RPGs, because you do not have to group up and the stories are engaging and fun. Plus the combat system... it is awesome. Each class I tried, I loved! I spent the whole weekend not grouped at all and had a BLAST! So for me, I could see those who just like RPGs getting into the story and the combat of the game.

I love GW2!!!!

Waiting on The Walking Dead Game Episode 2

So yesterday the Wiki got me excited by having a list of release dates. They appear to be wrong. I was reading on the Telltale Games blog and found they plan to bring it out in June. The list from the Wiki I found was saying 3 was out late June, but if 2 is coming out then 3 would not also. Check out the blog, we can be looking for Episode 2 in early June at least! :)

My 100th Video!

Last night I was checking my channel and noticed that I had 99 videos up! I know, weird time to catch it. So for my 100th video I wanted to do something a bit different and maybe slightly funny! If I see a ton of people enjoying Morton videos I will try to make more with him in them. I want to thank all of you who have been with me since I started [Not that long] and watched my videos and given me support along the way. I would not continue without all of you, so thank you tons!

I also hit 3,000 views on my channel this evening so again a big THANK YOU!!

So for those interested, check out my 100th video below!

100th Video on YouTube Channel

You all are so lucky, getting 2 blog posts from me in one day! Lucky, lucky! lol

So tomorrow I will be posting my 100th video for my channel. I actually did not notice till today that I had even gotten that close. So I was thinking of doing something special, but no idea what... for my 100th video. Not like I gave myself a lot of time for this.

I do want to take the time and thank my 21 awesome subscribers for... well... subscribing and keeping me going. I love my channel and making my videos, but it is not worth it if no one is watching them. :) So a big thank you to all of you.

So... yea, I guess that was all I wanted to post about. So YAY to 100 videos! :)

Need External Hard Drive

So I am working on getting all of Diablo finished... SLOWLY of course. I am running out of room on my PC so have to stop and put the video together render it and then toss the HUGE Fraps to make more room. I have a little external hard drive now, and yes it is pink and awesome. I just use that for pictures though and it is not nearly large enough for what I need it for.

So I think I need to break down and get a awesome external hard drive or get another onboard hard drive to put all my videos on when I am between rendering and capping. I have 917Gb and run out so quickly, thank you Fraps.

Mind you I love the quality of Fraps, but my goodness they are HUGE! Yea, I really am fairly boring and thinking of getting a Hard Drive was the highlight of my day. :)

Promises to my 6 Year Old Daughter

So this afternoon we were outside blowing bubbles and my daughter asked if we could get a trampoline or a waterslide... I had to nicely tell her no, because we do not have the money for that. She looked at me sadly and asked me why not when I am obviously working so hard on my youtube channel.

That was when I had to tell her that I was not making money off my channel. I told her that if I made money off my channel that I really enjoy doing, then that would be amazingly awesome. For now though, I am not making anything, it is just for fun.

This is where the promise came in. I had to promise that IF I ever actually made money off my videos, the first thing I would put it towards was a waterslide and a trampoline.

Ahh... to be 6 again. :)

Diablo 3 Accounts Hacked

So if you have a Battle.net account for WoW or Diablo 3 you might want to worry about your account possibly being hacked. It seems to have a huge amount right now with the release of Diablo 3. I made a video about it on my youtube channel. Watch it for some info and maybe helpful hints to help keep your account safe.

Diablo 3 Midnight Release!

So I went to the midnight release at my favorite gamestop and got my copy of Diablo 3! I was so excited and came home and did a really dumb video of my unboxing. Hopefully some found it mildly entertaining... and if not, oh well.

I was exhausted when I made it and then I still stayed up to download everything and get one video done... that actually turned into 2 because I spent over 20 minutes on it so broke it into 2 parts!

Hopefully I can get one of them up tonight [This morning], I plan to render both before I go to bed. I actually was having a blast and hoping to probably do another video as well.

Now aside from the weird looks from the guys at the no-female midnight release it was very enjoyable!

I also wanted to take the time to say how much I am enjoying my YouTube channel! I am having so much fun, and I hope some people are enjoying some of my content. I plan to do even more in the future! I also look for any advice or ideas on how to make things better on my youtube channel.

First Thoughts on GW2

So today I got on for the Stress Test of the servers and such... and I was actually blown away. I love the combat system it is amazing. I have to say I am so used to bioware games, namely SWTOR, where you get to choose the interaction to take in the cutscenes. Though just the same they were well done and I enjoyed watching them.

The combat system is awesome and I loved it! I think the only issue I had was the voice for the female norn... I know something silly to have bother you right? Well just think about it here for a moment. For the norn you look very girlie girl... or maybe the best way to say it is very final fantasy-ish, but yet you have a very deep and brutal female voice. Just did not make sense to me, and as much as I love the build and thoughts of the Norn with the whole shape shifting thing... it bothered me so much I am not sure I can play it.

though on the whole the few hours I had on GW2 for the first time... I was blown away and really enjoyed myself. I can not wait for the next GW2 weekend... I will not be leaving my computer room!

I will have more thoughts soon! :)

GW2 Guild

I am debating starting a guild in Guild Wars 2. I co-ran a guild in AoC [age of conan] and I learned from that what will not work. We went from 2008-2011. The guild pretty much died around the first of the year in 2012.

I loved that we were about having fun, but we never got to do the really hard stuff as a guild because we did not have a good structure past the council.... the actually guild lead did not really enforce things and it came down just on me.... Once I took time off of the game because of some drama mixed with the fact I was homeschooling my daughter, the guild died. It was sad, but I did not see the point in putting in all that time.

SO I was really leaning towards maybe starting up a guild again. I had fun with it when we all worked together.

Me just thinking outloud [in text] lol

Review: The Walking Dead Game- Episode 1

[Typing on a wireless keyboard in my 'gaming room' so apologies for any technical difficulties]

When I downloaded The Walking Dead gam e I did not have high expectations. I assumed for $20 it was something worth atleast trying, plus I loved the tv show. I put it in and immediatly saw the influence my choices made. I also found myself becoming very protective of the person that came under my charge.

I really got into it as the end of the Episode hit. Feelings of 'owning' my choices and longing to see what would come of the choices I made along the way. I was not really expecting this as I had for ME3 [but was slighly upset with that ending]. To see your choices matter and influence the way it is played takes a good writing team. I am very much looking forward to Episode 2 when that comes out.

So would I tell people to be sure to download this game and anticipate the other 4 parts? I already have! So what are you waiting for?

Video Game Reviews

I may take my hand at reviewing video games again. I first attempted it and then just got frustrated... with youtube actually. It then caused me to "rage quit" lol So I think it is time to do it once more. Hopefully this time I can do it.

I am still working on what sort of system I will use to review, but hopefully I will have some reviews up soon. As I am only one person I will not be able to review EVERYTHING, but I will review what I play. I can not go long without a new game so I am sure there will be enough to keep some people happy.

Keep an eye out, plan to have one done up soon.

Black Ops 2

As some of you may know by now, I am a complete fail at the CoD games. I used to be better, but have not put in the time needed to get any good skills! I did, before I fell in the Age of Conan trap for nearly 5 years! lol

So this will be interesting news for you... I am completely stoked for Black Ops 2! I really suck at the crossbow, but that was what got me into the first Black Ops! I think it is fun and brings a new element to the game. I loved all the custom games with my friends, I would laugh endlessly and then cry a little inside when I saw I was at the bottom of the list.

So for me I will be pre-ordering and picking it up at the midnight release! YAY! If you have not heard anything yet, you living under a rock? Check out the trailers!

The Walking Dead Game

Some of you may have heard, and others maybe not. The Walking Dead game is out! It is unlike your typical game. For one thing, you can not just go out and buy a disk. This game is only downloadable! I did not know that when I went to buy the game at gamestop, but was told when I asked them if they had it. They only sell the PS3 codes. If you want to play it on Xbox, you will have to get yourself some microsoft points and buy it off the store.

So for $20 I was able to get all 5 of the episodes that will be out. So far only the 1 is out but more will follow soon! If you want more info check out the website www.TheWalkingDeadGame.com It was awesome, only other games that made me feel like my choices actually mattered was the Dragon Age series and Mass Effect series. Though as we all found out from the ending that was not entirely true with Mass Effect... but they are giving us an extended cut DLC soon so hopefully we will feel like it does again!

I played through The Walking Dead Episode 1 twice so far and you can see how your choices will change the next episode and how others interact with you. I even got a bit scared at moments and it was an all over fun little mini game of sorts! I can hardly wait till the Episode 2 hits!

If you are interested in seeing my current playthrough I am working on posting up what I played when I first put it in. This was the first game I recorded myself as I played so hopefully it came out alright!

http://www.youtube.com/XxXLoveBiscuitXxX

So if I was reviewing this game I would say it is a must have, and certainly for only $20 bucks for all 5 parts!

I am back!

I took a small break from the internet world, well sorta, for a little over a week. I was in a friends wedding in Texas and took an extended road trip! If you have not gone to the Grand Canyon before, you totally should! It is certainly worth it!

Now that I am back I will be preparing for Diablo 3 and continuing to play some Witcher and will get up as much ME3 stuff as I possibly can! I posted 2 last night and am posting another this afternoon. I will hopefully have a video up of the romance guide for those who do not like to do the reading! ;)

Good to be back and hope I can dish out some more helpful info for you all!

ME3 Romance Guide

Ashley Williams- A possible romance for MALE Shepard, even if never romanced before.

Gift- The Works of Tennyson [Buy at Kiosk in hospital]

Previous Relationship- If you had a previous relationship with Ashley and then persued someone else, it is important to apologize but let her know you want to get back with her.

Important Moments-

-Conversation on Mars when she confronts Shepars on their relationship with Cernerus it is important that you choose the gentler option. Then you can defend yourself and not hurt Ashley.

-While Ashley is in the Hopsital Shepard should visit her regularly to increase the intimacy with her. For sure once arriving at the Citadel for the first time, After the Palaven Mission, and once again before finishing the Genophage mission.

- Ashley will invite Shepard to meet her at a cafe on the Citadel. While there if the intamcy level with Shepard is high enough she will ask about a possible serious relationship. If it is not high enough there is an option for Shepard to bring it up.

EDI- Not a possible Romance

It is possible to help Joker and EDI form a relationship.

Garrus Vakarian-If FEMALE Shepard romanced Garrus in ME2, then it is possible to continue the relationship.

Important Moments-

-When Shepard visits Garrus after him joining the squad he will bring up their relationship. Shepard can choose to end it or continue. This does not put them in a committed relationship, but allows the romance between them to keep going.

- After finishing the Genophage mission Shepard can speak with Garrus. She will find him in the cockpit talking to Joker. Shepard can share in a moment of amaraderie and talk about how she chose to resolve the mission.

-Garrus will ask Shepard to meet him on the Citadel. When they meet up he will take her to a romantic spot and declare his love and ask Shepard for a commitment.

James Vega- Even with all the flirting between Vega and Shepard he is not a romance option.

Kaidan Alenko- Possible romance for FEMALE Shepard, even if no previous romance.

Gift- TM-88 Peruvian Whiskey

Previous Relationship- If you had a previous relationship with Alenko, but romanced someone else in ME2. It is important to apologize and let him know you wish to be with him.

Important Moments-

-On Mars Kaiden confronts Shepard about their relationship with Cerberus. Choose the gentler options to defend yourself but not hurt him.

-Visit Kaidan often in the hospital. Once when you first arrive on the Citadel, After the mission on Palaven, and again before you finish the Genophage missions. Be sure to buy the Whiskey on your first trip to the hopsital so you do not forget, your second visit you will give it to him.

-Once your relationship is high enough Kaidan will invite you to a cafe on the citadel. If your intimacy is high enough he will suggest a poissible relationship, or continuing of one. If he does not there will be an option for Shepard to ask.

Liara T'Soni- Romance option for both male and female Shepard, and if you have not had a relationship before.

Important Moments-

-The first conversation you have with Liara on the ship will offer you a chance to let her know you wish to continue a relationship, if you had a previous one with her. It does not lock you in a relationship, but gives you the chance to commit later.

-Visit Liara often on the Citadel and she will then come to your cabin with a gift, something that will be left behind if they fail.

-There is an Asari working behind the counter of the Cafe in the Presidium Commons near where you will find Liara. Speak with them and they will inform you that they are Liara's father. Do with that information what you may.

-Eventually she will ask Shepard to meet her on the Citadel. If you have spoken enough times Shepard is given the chance to commit to Liara

Tali'Zorah- If Male Shepard romanced Tali in ME2, he can continue the relationship.

Important Moments-

-The first time they speak, Tali asks to do it in Shepard's cabin, in that conversation Shepard can make it clear he wishes to continue a relationship with Tali. It does not lock you in a relationship with Tali, but leave the possiblity open.

-During the war with the Geth Tali will ask to speak to Shepard in their cabin. This is the chance you can choose to commit to Tali. This conversation is only available before going to Rannock to destroy the reaper base. So be sure to call her up to your cabin before that mission.

Jeff "Joker" Moreau- Not a romance Option.

Possible to get him and EDI together if you wish to help them along.

Lieutenant Cortez- Romance Option for Male Shepard.

Important Moments-

-Visit Cortez often in the Cargo Bay. He will confide in you at one point he is doing fine with his work, but is struggling with the loss of his husband. Later on you can suggest he take some time off and visit the Citadel

-When he goes to the Citadel be sure to stop and talk to him there. Later on you can find him in the refugee camp saying goodbye to his husband.

-After visiting him in the Refugee camp you will get a email from him asking you to meet him at Purgatory [along with giving you some war assets]. While seeing him there shepard can bring up the possibility of a romance and commit to him then.

Specialist Traynor- Romance option for a female Shepard.

Important Moments-

-Be sure to speak with her often to get to know her. After the conversation about Traynor liking chess she will send you an email asking to come up to Shepard's cabin. She brings her chessboard, but makes a comment about Shepard's shower. If your intimacy is high enough you can offer her to use your shower. While she is in the shower she mentions she really likes someone, and then you are given the option to join her or not.

Miranda Lawson- Romance possible, if male shepard romanced her in ME2.

-When meeting up with Miranda you can choose to continue the relationship or to end it friendly. You do not really share many moments with her so she is not as rewarding as some of the other romances, but the options is still there.

Jack- Romance possible if romanced in ME2. Like with Miranda you can choose to continue it, but not many chances to spend with Jack.

[This is all the information I have, I will update it as I get more.]

Rakghoul Virus Outbreak on Tatooine! [SWTOR]

So last night after a long break from SWTOR [Star Wars The Old Republic] I was online goofing off. I was then informed there is a outbreak of the Rakghoul plauge on Tatooine! That seemed strange to me, but then I found out that if you actually get the plauge you can get DNA samples from yourself and then resulting in possibly getting something like a Rakghoul pet. Weird huh?

So if you wish to avoid this plauge, you should stay as far away from Tatooine as possible. Not only that if you see anyone with red eyes or black swirls around them, avoid them completely! I think this is neat and something fun and new. BioWare is doing a great job bringing the world to life in ways most MMOs would never dream of doing!

There are a few videos on youtube if you wish to check them out. I have not gotten them yet myself.

Skyrim Kinect Support

I remember thinking as I ran around in Skyrim, "This would be cool if it was on the Kinect as well." For those of you who do not know, I am a Kinect junkie. I remember stumbling across a fellow who had programmed his Kinect to work with Skyrim and thought it cool. I am not a programmer so did not bother to try it out as he had it available.

Then as I was stumbling around the internet last night, I found the most interesting blog post on Bethesda's site. Kinect Support Coming to Skyrim and I became very excited! I had beat the game, but quickly so have so many more places to go and enjoy! This makes me want to go ahead and play it a full gime through again, and enjoy EVERY quest I can get my hands on. Intead of rushing through, like I normally do. I becoming to excited about the main story and forget myself.

So for those of you who love Skyrim and enjoy your Kinect, or maybe just want to try out the Kinect. I recommend you play it with the new Kinect support, I know I will!

Thank you BioWare for Listening!

Have I ever said that I love BioWare? Well I do, probably a bit to much. Now was I very upset with the cookie-cutter ending given in ME3 [Mass Effect 3]? Hell yes I was! In fact I was overly upset that with any ending I got it was the same thing. I felt a bit betrayed and expected something like what DAO [Dragon Age Origins] did where you get to see, or read rather, the choices you made in the game effecting the future.

I was also upset with the weird crash landing with the Normandy where it appeared Joker was using FTL travel with people I did my final push on Earth with. Seemed weird, but at the end of the day BioWare has accepted they really screwed up and are going to fix it. I have not mentioned my favorite part yet... FOR FREE, until April 2014.

Now I want to stress that this DLC that will be coming this summer is not a NEW ending, which I am extremely glad about. I truly believe that they wrote an amazing story and should stick with it, it just needed a bit of an extension with the ending and a tweek to the Normandy cutscene. They should have seen this coming with what they gave us compared to what they promised.

So sometime this summer we will be getting some new DLC and I will be so happy about it. If you want more info on what to expect you can check out BioWare's Blog post HERE.

I hope you are all as excited about this as I am!

ME3 Space Hamster!

Now if you were like me and thought your space hamster adorable, or perhaps cool. Then wondered what happened to him once you got back on the Normandy in ME3. Well look no further! He is scurrying around on the engineer deck where Jack was in ME2. If you can catch him he will immediatly go back in your cabin and do the same things he did in ME2.

Now the fish, I hear Kelly Chambers has them. Though I guess you had to have dinner with her, for her to feel compelled enough to take your fish in the first place? I am not really sure on all that, but I guess Kelly is keeping them. So if you want your fish back, hopefully you saved her from the Collector Base and built up some form of relationship from her. Hope this helps you on your journey for your Space Hamster and your Fishies!

Protest in... CUPCAKES?

Okay fans, I believe Bioware has heard you, and if you do not believe me check out my previous post HERE on how they let us know they are doing something about it. Though instead of taking that to heart and trusting BioWare is just as upset about us not liking the ending as we are about not liking it, you instead waste your time and money in sending... cupcakes? lol

I find it a tad silly, but I do indeed get the point. Though check out the post Chris Prestly made HERE and I shall copy and paste it below so you can check out those yummy cupcakes!

I have to say WELL PLAYED BIOWARE, on giving those to a good cause. They were given in a form of protest so would not have been a good idea to eat them, would have sent the wrong signs and the smart people at BioWare saw that. So I have to say great orgainizing and what not, but was it really necessary? Of course you could talk to me till your blue in the face and I still would have saw it as a waste of time and money, considering BioWare already stated they were doing something about it.

They were already doing what they could to help us understand the ending, and perhaps given us a new one. I know it was a kick in the teeth to me to have them give such a cookie cutter ending, but at the end of the day I am still able to put trust in BioWare fixing this situation.

I know many of us have just started to expect BioWare to give us the best of the best and promising 16/17 endings and only giving three with all the same cutscene with semi color changes was not at all what we expected from them.

Let us not lose faith in BioWare they are making great bounds in the gaming industry, did they totally screw up on the ending? YES they did and they should have seen this coming with what they promised and what they gave. I know BioWare will go back and change a few things, but do I need some sugary sweet ending? Hell no! Shepard is a badass and will do what she [or he] needs to, to save everyone from the reapers! so suck on your thumbs and put your money back in your wallet... or better yet give it to someone who actually needs it instead of in cupcakes.

I am proud of BioWare giving them to kids who needed a bit of sunshine in their lives. They had to of seen the waste in those cupcakes and turned it into something golden.

I was impressed in raising over a thousand dollars for cupcakes in just over an hour or so, but to me using that ability to fundraise so well. You should perhaps consider putting those creative talents to better use. help an animal shelter, help homeless kids... but I guess sending cupcakes to a company that is already promising to work on the ending to a game, and that being the purpose in the cupcake sending was a good idea too.

Hi Everyone

Today, we received the 400 cupcakes you collectively sent us through your donations to express your feelings about the endings of Mass Effect 3. We want you to know; we are indeed listening to all fan response and acknowledge your feedback. We appreciate creative and thoughtful attempts like this one.

The gesture certainly gained our attention both with its creativity and deliciousness. However, while we do appreciate that fans were creative in how they expressed their views, after a lot of discussion, we decided ultimately the reason that they were sent was not done in the context of celebrating the work or accomplishment of the Mass Effect 3 team. This is a subtle, but important aspect in determining how to pass the feedback to the team.

BioWare regularly works with many deserving charities, as such it was decided that rather than passing out the cupcakes to staff or wasting good food, to donate them on behalf of our fans to a local Edmonton youth shelter. We know that for the kids that have to use this facility, something as simple as a cupcake is a rare treat and would definitely brighten up their day. Thank you to the fine folks at the local youth shelter for accepting the donation and to the fans who donated the cupcakes.

Please keep providing your feedback on Mass Effect 3, we’re still listening.

BioWare Co-Founder Addresses ME3 Ending

So many people are saying that they are changing the ending, and no where in his blog statement, SEE HERE, does it say that they are working on new endings. In fact it tells us they are working on ways to get us to understand what happened. So do not expect a new ending. I never did, but a change on the final cookie cutter cutscene and maybe a touch of closure would help a ton and appease most people.

Now what follows is my own thoughts and constructive feedback to the endings.

I have put countless hours into the Mass Effect world. Playing through one and two a ton of times, just trying to see each ending. Now once I arrived at the ending of ME3, I felt... empty. For lack of a better word really. I just felt that something was missing, not only was that cutscene with the **SPOILER** crash landing of the normandy on some planet somewhere seem completely off the mark, but they promised 16/17 endings and each ending was the same, it was a cookie cutter cutscene. Now this made me feel that they had a deadline they had to meet and put so much work into other things the reveal on Tali's Face and the Ending were put off and then they ran out of time.

The game as a whole was amazing and I loved the feelings it caused in myself. To see these characters I had grown to know so well and some of them died and then saying goodbye to your romanced character knowing you, or they, may not return. We knew this was the end, the battle we came to and worked up to for the past 2 games. Chances of us coming out alive were slim, and I expected that. What I did not expect was the cookie cutter cutscene that was really sorta lost. If they changed that to be atleast on earth, perhaps near london? shepard? anything it would have resolved a lot of this negativity caused by the ending.

Aside from the cookie cutter ending they gave us, they promised us closure and to show us what affect our choices would have. This just came out to being war assets, which totally important, it was not exactly what many of us invisioned when getting "closure" and seeing what our choices caused. So just putting in an ending like DAO [Dragon Age Origins] again would have taken away a lot of the negativity on ME3.

One final thing I know I am still trying to understand is the Multi-Player. I want to take this moment to point out I do enjoy the multi-player it is a lot of fun and building specific character to do combat how you want is fun. Though what I am finding problem with it, is without it you sit at 50%, okay I can deal. I went through my most recent play through and my percent went down to about 65% and I was at the cerberus facility I had all planets and systems scanned to 100%, all quests turned in, and had brought some hard alliances together to bring pretty much everyone together to fight. BUT I still did not have enough of my Efficiant Military Strength to have the ending I wanted. I wanted this playthrough to have shepard live. Which that cutscene still was not what I imagined. <Insert Sigh here> So it is pretty much nearly imposible to get that ending without the Multi-Player.

What are they going to do once they remove the multi-player. They have made no deny they will be getting rid of it at some point. Are they going to remove the percentage all together? Are we going to be stuck at 50%? Will they just bump everyone to 100%? There are some things I would like to know for future reference.

After playing through and realizing the cutscene at the end was confusing and I got no closure it was hard to get myself to want to play again, knowing no matter what I got the same outcome. In the end I could not deny how amazing and moving ME3 was. The voice acting had me emotional, along with the story of course. It was a great game and aside from that ending every little detail I had an issue with could be overlooked.

I hope everyone takes the time to play the game through and really see the amazing game they have created. There is no denying the ending was an issue for most people, but I do hope that some people would keep their issues at a constructive level instead of beating on BioWare and the ME team. They did an amazing job, and yes they should have seen what emotions that ending would have caused.

I am looking forward to seeing what they have instore for us to help clarify the ending and perhaps give us a bit of closure. I hope to have more info around my birthday in April.

Casey Hudson Talks ME3 Ending

So Casey Hudson decided to finally make a statement on the Bioware social forums about the ending of ME3. For me it basically was a polite way of saying, we are not changing it. I just want that cutscene changed, it is not a matter of story writing it is a matter of logic. That cutscene was completely thrown out of left field and if they were to change it, it would stave a lot of the hate that is going on.

I have a "rant" video that will be going up soon to talk more about what I think of that P.O.S. cutscene. Logically Joker would not go AWOL with all the people that were from your squad fighting on earth, and Joker would never have left the fight because he is the "Best damn helmsmen in the Alliance Fleet".

To tell us he wanted it to be an unforgetable ending, kudos to him, he certainly did by making it so outrageously off the mark on that last cutscene. Do not let me keep you, check it out yourself.

There’s been a lot of discussion and debate about the conclusion of Mass Effect 3, so I thought I’d share my perspective with you here. I’ll avoid outright spoilers, but I’d still recommend finishing the game and experiencing it for yourself before reading this.

For the last eight years, Mass Effect has been a labor of love for our team; love for the characters we’ve created, for the medium of video games, and for the fans that have supported us. For us and for you, Mass Effect 3 had to live up to a lot of expectations, not only for a great gaming experience, but for a resolution to the countless storylines and decisions you’ve made as a player since the journey began in 2007. So we designed Mass Effect 3 to be a series of endings to key plots and storylines, each culminating in scenes that show you the consequences of your actions. You then carry the knowledge of these consequences with you as you complete the final moments of your journey.

We always intended that the scale of the conflict and the underlying theme of sacrifice would lead to a bittersweet ending—to do otherwise would betray the agonizing decisions Shepard had to make along the way. Still, we wanted to give players the chance to experience an inspiring and uplifting ending; in a story where you face a hopeless struggle for basic survival, we see the final moments and imagery as offering victory and hope in the context of sacrifice and reflection.

We've had some incredibly positive reactions to Mass Effect 3, from the New York Times declaring it “a gripping, coherent triumph”, to Penny Arcade calling it “an amazing accomplishment”, to emails and tweets from players who have given us the most profound words of appreciation we've ever received.

But we also recognize that some of our most passionate fans needed more closure, more answers, and more time to say goodbye to their stories—and these comments are equally valid. Player feedback such as this has always been an essential ingredient in the development of the series.

I am extremely proud of what this team has accomplished, from the first art concepts for the Mass Effect universe to the final moments of Mass Effect 3. But we didn't do it on our own. Over the course of the series, Mass Effect has been a shared experience between the development team and our fans—not just a shared experience in playing the games, but in designing and developing them. An outpouring of love for Garrus and Tali led to their inclusion as love interests in Mass Effect 2. A request for deeper RPG systems led to key design changes in Mass Effect 3. Your feedback has always mattered. Mass Effect is a collaboration between developers and players, and we continue to listen.

So where do we go from here? Throughout the next year, we will support Mass Effect 3 by working on new content. And we’ll keep listening, because your insights and constructive feedback will help determine what that content should be. This is not the last you’ll hear of Commander Shepard.

We look forward to your continued support and involvement as we work together to shape the remaining experiences in the story of the Mass Effect trilogy.

Thanks for taking this journey with us.

Computer Hates me!

Well since my last post, I was happy because I at the very least had the draft I made from each frap... well happy day when I discovered that my Movie Maker did not like my drafts and when I tried to put voice over on it, it screamed NOOOOO! and would act like the video was not there.

So thank goodness it was around level 7 which should not take me to long to get back to that moment and frap the two quests I freakin messed up on with the fraps. Happy day!

So I am uploading some Mass Effect story from my most recent playthrough to keep my youtube channel atleast active till I can get playing SWTOR. Lots of RL stuff happening at the moment so leaves little time to sit and play, but hopefully by this evening so I can post it up by tomorrow! :)

Happy Gaming y'all!

Idiot Moments!

UGH! You know what happens when your trying to be smart and make your videos and then just delete the fraps without THINKING. You lose your Datacron videos thats what you do! Mother F-er. Now I have to go back and get them again. *trudges off to re-do things because I am a moron!*

On a nicer note, I have been working on my Mass Effect play though and caping it. Figured I will just do the story and then post it up so that you can all see my choices and how they will later effect my Mass Effect 3 playthrough. Hoping for some Kaiden love! lol On my first playthrough I ended up in the second one going after Garrus, but now that freakin Kaiden comes back... well I plan to be alone in 2 to have him back in 3 lol. Though I am interested to see the interaction between Kaiden and Garrus in the third one on my other play through :)

Happy Gaming Y'all!

So I went ahead and made a video as a Valentine's day special. I am sure it had NOTHING useful in it and I was just rambling on like a crack addict. I was having fun and even got to make different voices. Who can possibly beat that?

Spent my morning playing the ME3 Demo! I am so excited to see it and I even had an emotional moment! So head on over to my youtube channel and check out my Valentine's Day special!

Free Gear ME3 & Kingdoms of Amalur

Now if you play the demo of one it gives you DLC content for the other. I love this idea! It is all completely free just for trying it out. I for one am downloading Kingdoms of Amalur as we speak! So now I must just wait impatiently until Valentine's day so that I may play with ME3. This girl is dying... seriously! ;)

MW3 Xbox Favoritism?

I always thought it was fair that xbox got the map packs first with CoD because they did pay 60 dollars a year to play. Though when I heard of the Elite option coming out for the CoD franchise I thought this is a nice way to allow ps3 the ability to get it early as well. Though it is seeming that they forgot this promise to the consumers of their product.

There has already been a map pack out for over a month and only xbox has been allowed to play it. The second map coming out will be available to Xbox a full week before ps3 ELITE members will receive the first map pack. Is this fair I wonder? Well Xbox elite members are indeed paying for gold status AND the Elite, BUT PS3 Elite members did pay to be allowed to get the map packs early.

I for one play both Xbox and PS3 and enjoy them both in different ways and I do not plan on getting Elite on either, but to me I find it very unfair on the PS3 players. They paid their money as well, so to me it seems silly that they should have to wait so much longer to enjoy what Xbox has already enjoyed for well over a month and then they get more content before ps3 gets the first content.

How do you all feel about it? I for one think that PS3 players need to take a stand, they paid out money too. Though Activision will be getting their money so cares little on how fair or when they patch things... so only a hit to the pocketbook would probably make them see what they are doing. Though hate tweets might work too. ;)

Mass Effect DLC & iOS

According to someone who went to prepay for ME3 he also paid $10 for DLC content as well called 'From Dust'. Have not heard anything official on what it is or when it is coming out. For me I hope this will be on release day, seems weird to prepay for DLC unless of course its release date.

There was also announced an iOS for ME3 called 'Mass Effect Infiltrator'. It is supposed to be a graphically pleasing third person shooter. There is other speculation on this as well, but till we know more... we know nothing. ;)

I myself am just looking for the hours and hours of gameplay to be had seeing the different outcomes. I will be doing another play through starting this weekend! Will be a fun time.

Happy Gaming!

A bit of old news, but the voice cast trailer has come out. I am actually super excited to see what is in store for shepard... my many shepards with different story lines. Good and bad Shepard. :) So seeing the new and old faces is just amazing. I think the one I am most excited about is Jessica Chobot. No I am not hitting on her. :P The whole cast is amazing and watching this trailer gets me even more pumped then I already am to get it and play it! So check out the link below to check out the trailer if you have not already!
